Laundromat Attendant

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with operating washers and dryers.
  • Provide change, sell detergent, and offer laundry care advice.
  • Monitor machines for proper functioning and report issues.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the facility, including folding tables and machines.
  • Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry for drop-off service customers.
  • Replenish supplies like detergent, dryer sheets, and vending items.
  • Handle cash or card transactions and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy laundry loads.
  • Basic math skills for handling payments.
  • Attention to detail for stain treatment and fabric care.
  • Time management and multitasking abilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Prior experience in laundry or janitorial work is a plus.

Work Environment

Laundromat Supervisor

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all laundry operations, including washing, drying, and folding processes.
  • Train, schedule, and manage attendants to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, reporting maintenance needs promptly.
  • Monitor inventory of detergents, and vending supplies; place orders as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Collaborate with customer service for special requests and delivery coordination.

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certifications in laundry operations a plus.
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience in a laundry, linen, or hospitality environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Laundromat Store Manager

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily store activities, handle cash, and ensure machines operate efficiently.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate attendants, assign shifts, and conduct regular performance check-ins.
  • Monitor financial performance: track sales, manage expenses, and prepare weekly reports.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, enforce health and safety protocols, and coordinate routine maintenance.
  • Implement local marketing initiatives, in-store promotions, community partnerships to drive new and repeat business.
  • Manage inventory of laundry supplies, merchandise, and paper goods, placing orders to avoid stockouts.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and brand standards on signage, pricing, and store layout.

 Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ supervisory experience in retail, hospitality, or service operations.
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable coaching staff and interacting with customers.
  • Experience managing cash, tracking budgets, and analyzing simple P&L statements.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Prior exposure to the coin-laundry industry or self-service retail environments.
